How long in advance do I need to send out My wedding invitations?
Q: My wedding date is set for December 18 2009. When should i mail my invitations and when should i ask for people to R.S.V.P by?
A: Send them out beginning of November or very end of October. And ask your reception hall when you need to give the final number of how many are coming. Most places need final number 1 week before wedding.

Send them out 6-8 weeks before. As far as RSVP…when do you have to have the numbers to your vendors? I’d go at least a week or two before that because many people never will send back the RSVP and you’ll be finding yourself making a lot of phone calls.
References :
You usually want your invites to go out 3 months before the wedding, so you should send them by the middle of September. Depending on when your caterer needs a final head count, ask people to RSVP one to two weeks before that.

Depending on your venue set up and the catering, you have to check with them to estimate when you need the RSVP’s back. I would send invites about 2 months in advance to give people time to plan and RSVP back.
